KOREA's Hanjin Shipping, Japan's "K" Line, Singapore's PIL and Mumbai's Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) are expanding into the subcontinent where "demand has continued to grow" by offering the India-Far East Express 2 (IFX) from September 22.

The IFX2 service is operated by Pacific International Lines (PIL), "K"-Line and SCI. Hanjin, "K" Line and SCI will provide a ship each while PIL will contribute two.

The port rotation is: Xingang, Dalian-Qingdao, Busan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen (Shekou), Singapore, Port Kelang, Madras and Vizag and then back to Xingang via Singapore and Hong Kong.

As the 12th biggest economy and home to the second biggest world population, India is "one of the fastest growing economies", said a Hanjin statement.

Busan has been added to the current string due to a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between Korea and India last year.
