New Tanker for Palmali

On March, 22 the Krasnoe Sormovo yard launched the head vessel of RST22 project for Palmali. The tanker was named “Kura River”. 

According to the press-service of MNP Group, due to the contract the yard will build 10 chemical  vessels. It is expected that the first 5 tankers will be delivered to the customer in 2008, the next 5 – in 2009.

The class of tanker  - ЛУ1 II А1 of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.

The project of the vessel was worked out by Maritime Engineering Bureau (Odessa).

Technical data: the length – 139.95 m, the breadth – 16.60 m, the hull height – 6.0 m, the deadweight in sea  – about 7000 tons if the draught – 4.60 m, in river – 4700 tons if the draught – 3.60 m, the capacity of freight tanks and 2 slop tank – 8090 cub. m, the main engine capacity – 2х1200 kwt, the speed – 10.5 knots.
