Israeli container shipping line Zim has announced an increase in freight rates on the trade from Asia and the Indian subcontinent to Europe, the Shipping Gazette informed.
Starting from September 1, a general rate increase (GRI) of US$200 per TEU will be applied to shipments to North Europe, western and eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic ports and the Black Sea.
"This increase is essential to maintain our current levels of service and high reliability," Zim said in a statement.
