Cosco hikes Asia-Europe rate US$300/TEU Sept 1, adds peak season surcharge

COSCO has announced a general rate increase on cargo going east and westbound cargo to and from the Far East and northwest Europe and the Mediterranean.

Far East and Indian subcontinent rates to northwest Europe and the Med (Israel, Lebanon, Syria, North Africa and the Black Sea) will increase US$300 per TEU on September 1 while east bound rates will rise $100 per TEU from September 15.

Cosco also announced a peak season surcharge of $75 per TEU and $150 per FEU from the Far East to the Indian subcontinent from August 16.
