Cosco hits South America cargo with US275/TEU, $550/FEU bunker charge

COSCO Container Lines has announced an "emergency bunker additional" (EBA) surcharge for all shipments from Far East to South America from July 28 until further notice.

In a notice to trade Cosco said the charge would be US$275 per TEU and US$550 per FEU and was necessary to provide "our customers with best service".
