THE General Administration of Civil Aviation of China has confirmed the list of carriers approved to operate scheduled mainland-Taiwan flight service and the relevant arrangements, Xinhua reports.
On the cargo side, Air China Cargo is also approved to operate routes from Shanghai and Guangzhou to Taipei's Taoyuan Airport. Its Shanghai-Taipei service offers three flights a week while its Guangzhou-Taipei service offers two.
Another cargo carrier, China Cargo Airlines, is approved to offer four-weekly services from Shanghai to Taipei's Taoyuan. China Southern Cargo will offer five weekly flights on the Guangzhou-Taoyuan run.
On the passenger side, Air China is approved weekly flights to Taoyuan from Beijing (seven flights), Shanghai (six flights), Chengdu (four), Chongqing (three), Hangzhou (three), Tianjin (four) and Guiyang (two).
China Eastern Airlines will offer weekly services from Shanghai (10 flights), Nanjing (four), Wuhan (two), Qingdao (two), Kunming (two), Xian (two), Hefei (two) and Ningbo (one) to Taoyuan (five), as well as from Nanchang (one) to Taipei's Songshan Airport.
China Southern Airlines will offer weekly services from Shanghai (five flights), Guangzhou (seven), Xiamen (one), Dalian (one), Guilin (one), Shenzhen (two), Wuhan (two), Changsha (two), Haikou (one), Shenyang (two), Zhengzhou (one), Harbin (one) and Guiyang (one) to Taoyuan (one).
Hainan Airlines is approved to operate weekly routes linking Beijing (three flights), Guangzhou (three), Dalian (one), Haikou (one), Xian (one) and Ningbo (one) to Taoyuan (one).
Xiamen Airlines is approved to operate weekly flights from Hangzhou (one flight), Changsha (two) to Taoyuan and from Xiamen (four), Fuzhou (four) to Songshan.
Shanghai Airlines will operate routes from Nanjing (four), Tianjin to Taoyuan (two) and from Shanghai to Songshan (seven).
Sichuan Airlines is approved to offer lines connecting Kunming to Taoyuan (two flights) and from Chengdu (three), Chongqing to Songshan (two).
Shandong Airlines will offer services from Xiamen (one flight), Qingdao (four) and Jinan to Taoyuan (two).
Shenzhen Airlines is approved to operate routes linking Shenzhen (five), Shenyang (one) and Zhengzhou to Taoyuan (one).
