Container Corporation of India net profit falls

Container Corporation of India said net profit for the fiscal first quarter fell marginally, even as income from operations rose 10.2 percent, Dow Jones reported.

For the quarter ended June 30, the company's net profit came at US$41.6 million, compared with $41.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Income from operations rose to $187.7 during the April-June quarter, from $170.3 million last year.
