Sweden and Finland to increase maritime cooperation

A meeting between representatives for the Swedish and Finnish governments has resulted in a decision to extend cooperation in marine operations, including ice-breaking. According to Logistics Finland, Minister for Communications Asa Torstensson said both countries had much to gain from greater collaboration in terms of both efficiency and cost reductions. The two countries are also to work together to increase transport safety in the Gulf of Bothnia.
