A consortium led by Portugal's Somague has won a contract to expand the LNG terminal in Sines, investing 158.7 million euros ($216 million) over the next three years, its Spanish parent company Sacyr Vallehermoso (SVO.MC) said on Monday.
The Sines terminal, 100km south of Lisbon, receives, stores and regasifies the LNG. The work, expected to be completed in May 2012, will lift storage capacity there by 150,000 cubic metres to 390,000 cubic metres.
