May 7, 2009 Port

On 30th April and 6th May, the first batch of 97TEU laden containers, carried by Cargo Channel Services and Huahui International Forwarding were dispatched from Leliu and Zhongshan ports respectively, and exported via Western Shenzhen Port (SCT/CCT) after the smooth process of Customs declaration followed by the updated “Export Trans-Customs Transshipment” procedure, indicating the debut of this new model in Leliu and Zhongshan port.

On the issue of new measures on lateral transshipment by Guangdong Customs, Western Shenzhen Port took initiatives to promote the implementation of the upgraded Export Trans-Customs new model in South China. Manifest data can be created automatically in import transshipment, exempting cargo owners from repeated declaration. The Customs recognize commercial seal and thus avoid additional terminal operations for export containers. The upgraded model simplifies the Trans-Customs procedure, improved operation efficiency, reduced cost and provided a more economical, convenient and efficient service to clients. Now the model is adopted by Zhanjiang, Shenwan, Leliu, Zhongshan ports and highly appraised by clients.
