Port Liepaja to build two container terminals and to raise container throughput to 500,000 TEU

Port Liepaja plans construction of two container terminals with a long-term outlook to handle 500,000 TEU, PortNews IAA learnt from Administration of Liepaja SEZ. According to the source, the project for construction of container terminals is under development in the port. One of the investors is Liepajas Osta LM (subsidiary of Liepajas Metalurgs).

The project is in the state of elaboration, the scope of investment and implementation period are being clarified.
