Khalifa Bin Salman Port set to start operations

Khalifa Bin Salman Port will start operations next month and Mina Salman will remain operative for the next 10 years at least, General Organisation of Sea Ports director Hassan Al Majid told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej. The BD160 million seaport is one of the latest and largest in the region. It is capable of receiving giant sea cruisers, with depth of up to 15 metres.
Mina Khalifa has latest technology equipment, with capacity in phase I of 1.1m containers and 2.5m containers in phase II.
