Hamburg Süd expands in Guatemala and El Salvador

Effective January 1st, 2009, Hamburg Süd will establish its own national organisations in Guatemala and El Salvador.  

Headquartered in Guatemala City, Hamburg Süd Guatemala will be responsible for the group's container shipping activities in Guatemala.

Hamburg Süd's long-standing partner in Guatemala, Transoceanicas, will continue as partner and port agent in Guatemalan ports.

Headquartered in San Salvador, Hamburg Süd El Salvador will be responsible for the group's container shipping activities in El Salvador.

With the establishment of these two new organisations, Hamburg Süd is taking account of the growing importance of both markets.

Also on January 1st, Hamburg Süd will open its own agencies in Italy and Egypt and its own organisation in Colombia. Login or register to post comments
