Six new box berths at Xiamen win State Council approval

The construction of six new 100,000-tonnes berths in Haicang area of Xiamen has received the approval from the National Development and Reform Commission, reports Xinhua.

The CNY2.16 billion (US$316 million) facility is made up of six berths including two (No 18 and No 19) 100,000-tonne capacity container berths with an overall annual capacity of 1.3 million TEU.
