On November 20-21, Actia Conferences from Poland arranged Baltic Ro-Ro and Ferry Conference 2008 in co-operation with Ports of Stockholm.
Around 90 delegates from the Baltic Sea came to the conference, which was opened by the Ports of Stockholm's CEO Christel Wiman, Bogdan Oldakowski from Actia and Julian Skelnik, marketing director of the Port of Gdansk and chairman of the Baltic Ports Organization. This was the second conference in a series of RoRo conferences of the Baltic Sea.
The conference was held in the Ports of Stockholm's new cruise terminal. The terminal is used for confences and fairs during wintertime.
The subjects of the conference were Competitiveness of the maritime transport in the Baltic Sea Region, Baltic Ro-Ro in logistic network, Passenger logistics, Friendly transport and Green vessels technology. The purpose was to present the latest maritime trends, new development plans and gather key people.
