Nov 20, 2008 Port

The owner of Australia's biggest coal terminal has confirmed it is considering selling part of the asset.

Babcock and Brown Infrastructure operates the Dalrymple Bay terminal, south of Mackay.

A spokeswoman for the company says they have had a number of recent offers to buy up to a 49 per cent stake in the terminal.

She says it will be at least three months before a decision is made.
