First Cargo Company terminates shipment of cargo in open-top wagons to Ukraine

First Cargo Company OJSC has terminated shipment of cargo in open-top wagons to Ukraine, the company’s press center reports. Unauthorized capture of open-top wagons by Ukrainian side violate earlier agreement on the use of rolling stock of FCC within Ukrainian territory. FCC fulfills its obligations and takes measures aimed at implementation of transportation process, the report states.


First Cargo Company OJSC intends to claim compensation for losses caused by unauthorized capture of open-top wagons from Ukraine.


First Cargo Company OJSC is the largest operator of railway transportation in Russia. The company was set up in July 2007. As of today, the company owns over 200,000 units of rolling stock. The company’s major shareholder is Russian Railways OJSC.
