OJSC Petrolesport cargo turnover

Cargo turnover by OJSC Petrolesport (Russia) for the eight months of 2008 (PLP) totalled 5.3 million tonnes. This was a 13.8% increase over the same period last year. PLP’s docks handled 3.3 million tonnes of container cargo (+55%), 0.2 million tonnes of refrigerated cargo (+25%), 0.7 million tonnes of lumber (-30.7%), and 0.7 million tons of scrap metal (-23.6%). Its specialized Ro-Ro terminal transferred 33,700 vehicles, which is 61% higher than in 2007.

Cargo turnover at PLP’s specialized container terminal in January-August 2008 rose 39.9% to 348,600 TEU. Particularly, in August of this year the terminal transferred 49,600 TEU, surpassing last year’s figure by 105.1%.
