Rosneft launches oil loading rack in port of Tuapse

RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt LLC has launched a technological complex for loading and discharge of oil products capable of handling 5 million tonnes per year, press center of Rosneft OJSC reports.


The complex valued at over RUR 1.5 bln was built within the framework of a large-scale project on reconstruction of RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt LLC and RN-Tuapse Refinery LLC. The new complex comprises a railway rack No2 with pump station No 3 capable of handling 60 tank wagons simultaneously. The facility’s major advantage is its complete automation of technological processes (loading/discharge) at rack No 2 as well as at racks No 1 and 3.


As of today, several facilities are under reconstruction at the territory of RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt LLC. The program of the company development envisages construction of a deep-sea berth capable of handling 7 million tonnes of oil products per year. Apart from this, four existing berths are to be modernized, the capacity of tank farm is to be raised from 360,000 m3 to 550,000 m3, railway racks are to be modernized and automated. By 2010, RN-Tuapsenefteprodukt plans to increase its oil product handling capacity to 17 million tonnes.
