Bremen sees cargo volume increase

The ports of Bremen and Bremerhaven reported an increase in cargo volume for the first half of 2008 compared to the same period of 2007.

The ports said they handled 2.7 million TEU, 15.9 percent more than the same period last year. The ports also handled 1.09 million cars, 9.1 percent more than in the first half of 2007.
