Transnet orders 32 Kalmar RTGs for Cape Town terminal

Transnet Ltd, parent company of South African terminal operator Transnet Port Terminals (TPT), has ordered 32 E-One+ rubber-tired gantry cranes from Kalmar Industries for deployment at Cape Town Container Terminal.

The cranes are scheduled for delivery from June 2009 through November 2010 and are part of Transnet's expansion of the Cape Town terminal from 800,000 TEUs to 1.4 million TEUs at a cost of $541 million.
