Gazprom Neft makes proposal to Chevron

Gazprom Neft has approached Chevron with an offer of a joint hydrocarbon project in Western Siberia, the company's President Aexander Dyukov told journalists according to RBC. However, he did not go into any detail about the project. As to the possibility of a joint venture, he added that Chevron had unofficially confirmed its intention to expand cooperation with Gazprom Neft. Under the agreement, the US company has to deliver a written notice to this effect to Gazprom Neft by June 23, 2008.
