The supervisory board of the Port of Tallinn approved of the main directions for the enterprise’s strategy until the year 2015 at its meeting on Monday.
According to the new strategy, the enterprise will increasingly focus on container transport, writes Postimees Online/LETA.
In future the Port of Tallinn intends to form a regional container handling centre with the initial total capacity of up to 1.2 million TEUs per year.
Another important direction for the enterprise will be to increase the capacity of handling new cars from the current level to up to 300,000 units per year.
