October, 16 during the third reading the RF State Duma passed the law on sea ports of Russia, reports RBC.
Due to the document there is the difference between a sea port as an estate complex and companies operated in a port. Besides, the law regulates and controls the usage of the ports’ land areas and water objects.
At the same time the ports’ land areas can be owned by the State, or be in private or public property.
Foreigners can not be owners of the Russian ports. The law also includes the terms of leasing and investments.
Today the State Duma also approved the law on Russian ships insurance.
It should be pointed out that on October, 11 the RF State Duma passed the law on special ports’ economic zones.
