The port company has received notice of a fifth, short strike later this month, following a two-day strike by 250 dock workers this week.
Maritime Union members are seeking a pay rise of up to 4.9%; the company has offered 3.23%.
The union has already called another strike for three hours next Tuesday and another on Wednesday, 17 October.
A union spokesperson, Denis Carlisle, says there has been some movement by both parties, but not enough to change the state of the negotiations.
Ports of Auckland Ltd says it is working to ensure the proposed strike has little impact on its operations.
