Big Port St. Petersburg has lifted some ice restrictions for vessels making calls at the ports of Russian part of the Gulf of Finland, as of April 12, PortNews reports citing the Port Authority.
The restrictions are still effective for calls at the ports of the Russian Gulf of Finland of vessels that do not have ice-class, of ships with propulsion rated power of 2000 hp and below; and of towed articulated tugs and barges (ATBs).
This early morning, there were 16 ships that requested icebreaker assistance in the eastern Gulf of Finland (versus 38 vessels a day before).
