All 15 ports along the devastated Pacific coast of Japan are usable for all purposes, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
While eleven airports in the north eastern part of the country have re-opened, the hardest hit Sendai Airport is currently open only to flights carrying relief supplies.
However, some shipping lines have suspended calls on eastern Japanese ports, including the key container facilities of Tokyo and Yokohama, because of radiation fears, Exim News Service informs.
