MCS posts a threefold income drop to RUB 337m

Net income of JSC Murmansk Commercial Seaport for 2010 slumped as much as three times from the same period a year earlier to RUB 337 million (to RAS), the company’s statement said. During the forth quarter of 2010 MCS demonstrated better financial performance as compared with Q3 2010 figures thanks to increased cargo throughput.


OJSC Murmansk Commercial Seaport was founded in 1994. The stevedore company operates 17 berths of total length of about 3,000 meters. The berths depths allow accommodation of vessels with length of over 265 meters and breadth of 15,5 meters. In 2010, MCS’ cargo throughput was over 12,8 million tons.
