The Port of Hamburg will be exhibiting again this year on a shared stand at the most important transport event in Russia. From 26 to 29 April Moscow is hosting the Russian and international transport industry. Over 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries are in the Expocentre Fairground at Krasnaya Presnya.
For the twelfth time Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. (HHM) has organized the joint stand (Pavilion 2, Hall 1, Stand A333) for Germany’s biggest seaport. Those taking part together with Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. are Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH, Buss Group GmbH & Co. KG, CBT Logistics GmbH, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), POLZUG Intermodal GmbH, Seehafen Kiel GmbH & Co. KG und TEAM LINES Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG all giving information on their extensive products and services.
Russia is the Port of Hamburg’s third most important trading partner. In 2010 around 439,000 TEU (20-foot standard containers) were handled between Hamburg and the Russian Federation, growth of 34 percent on the previous year. With general cargo Russia is also one of Hamburg’s most important trading partners, e.g. for iron, steel and other metals and machinery. There are 29 feeder departures weekly from Hamburg to Russian ports. Containers are also transported across country by truck and rail. Other traffic bound for Russia is handled in transit through neighbouring Finland and the Baltic States.
In May 2003 Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V. opened a branch office in St. Petersburg, which among other tasks creates business contacts between Russian export business and Port of Hamburg industry as well as partner ports from the metropolitan region, also advertising the diversity of services in the Port of Hamburg in the Russian Federation. The branch office is managed by Natalia Kapkajewa.
