ICTSI starts operations at Port of Portland

Philippine-owned International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) is celebrating the start of its operations at the Port of Portland's Terminal 6, reported Inquirer.net.


In May 2010, ICTSI signed a 25-year lease with the Port of Portland for the operation of the container/ breakbulk facility at Terminal 6.


The Port of Portland is ICTSI's first venture in the US, which is said to be the largest financial transaction in the history of the city's maritime port. Terminal 6 is a 78-hectare facility at the port's Rivergate Industrial District.
