LenmorNiiProekt has been awarded a contract worth RUB 1,601,085 for development of the design of Taman port’s dry cargo area. The design bureau was the winner in a tender announced by Rostransmodernizatsiya. The company proposed to execute the contract for 525 calendar days from the date of its conclusion.
The new port is planned to be located on the Taman peninsula between Cape Panagia and the Tuzla spit. The port complex will include the terminals for handling coal, grain, metals cargo, containers, and fertilizer. SUEK company has been named as potential investor in the Taman coal terminal. Besides, Bashneft, Tatneft and Rosneft oil majors are reported to be interested in the project.
Lenmorniiproekt JSC performs design of ports and transportation systems at all phases of the investment plan, performs all types of engineering surveys, comprehensive engineering survey and inspection of hydraulic structures, serves as general designer. The projects of scores of Russian and foreign ports, their reconstruction and modernization were designed by the company.
