Port of Rizhao's January box throughput up 33.9pc to 101,000 TEU

EASTERN China's port of Rizhao in Shandong province, between Shanghai and the Tianjin lifted 101,000 TEU in January, up 33.9 per cent year on year, Xinhua reports.

The port recorded a cargo throughput tonnage of 21.6 million tonnes, an increase of 19.3 per cent, a new high. Ore volume grew 12.9 per cent to 12.9 million tonnes. Coal throughput increased 47.1 per cent to 3.5 million tonnes.
