Port of Antwerp delegation in Mumbai

Mr Marc Van Peel, Chairman of Antwerp Port Authority, is in Mumbai on February 10 and 11. He is leading a delegation of port officials, private sector logistics companies and the overseas investment subsidiary of the
Port Authority, Exim News Service reports.


In Mumbai, the delegation is scheduled to call on the Chairman of Mumbai Port Trust, with whom Antwerp Port has an memorandum of understanding (MoU). The Port of Antwerp International will also hold detailed strategic talks with a partner to explore investment in a port project in India.


On February 11, the delegation will visit Bhiwandi to get an idea of the warehousing complexes coming up in that area.
In the evening, the Port will host their annual Antwerp Port Day reception to meet all the friends of the port and to make new friends. Members of the forwarders, shippers and exporters community are expected at this event.
