PORTS in south eastern China's Fujian province is expected to put up an extra capacity of 16 million TEU in terms of container and 250 million tonne in terms of overall tonnage in the next five years, Xinhua reports.
During this period, the port of Xiamen and Meizhouwan will be developed into ports with throughput of over 200 million tonnes.
Besides, the province also plans to build 3,000 kilometres' expressways, raising highway lengths to 5,000 kilometres. National and provincial highway lengths will reach 10,000 kilometres. Five thousand kilometres of new roads will be added in rural areas.
