ADT to manage Mina Zayed

Jan 5, 2011 Port

Following the expiry of the five year management services agreement at the turn of the New Year, DP World and Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) have agreed that marine terminal operations at Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed terminal will be handled by ADT. The terminal was previously managed by DP World.

In addition, discussions between DP World and ADT’s parent company, Abu Dhabi Port Company (ADPC), regarding operations for the new Khalifa Port have not yet resulted in any binding agreement.

“We have worked closely with ADT and ADPC over many years and we will continue to work closely with them into the future. Efficient infrastructure supports economic growth and Mina Zayed and Port Khalifa, with its associated industrial park when built, will contribute to the growth of Abu Dhabi and the UAE,” said Mohammed Al Muallem, senior vice-president and managing director, DP World, UAE region.
