Finland's Cargotec sells 150 tractors to Cincinnati's Parsec

HELSINKI-based Cargotec has received orders for 150 Kalmar terminal tractors from Cincinnati-based Parsec Inc to be delivered in the first quarter to supplement expanding North American intermodal operations.

"As container volumes in Canada, Mexico and the US rise, we are gearing up to meet the demand at all major transportation interchanges," said Parsec vice president David Budig in a statement.

Earlier this year, Parsec - a provider of contracted terminal management services - ordered 200 Kalmar terminal tractors for use at any one of its 30 locations in North America. The customer estimates that each year it handles 45 per cent of all trailers and containers travelling by rail in the region.
