Chongqing's port throughput up 9.9 pc in the first 11 months

PORTS in central China's Chongqing moved 83.52 million tonnes of cargo in the first 11 months, up 9.9 per cent year on year, reports Xinhua.

Chongqing's container throughput grew 8.6 per cent to 513,900 TEU in the first 11 months, while the water transport volume reached 86.89 million tonnes with a 23.7 per cent increase.

The city's road transported 630 million tonnes of cargo with a growth of 19 per cent and 1.12 billion passenger trips with a 11 per cent increase.
