Vladivostok first 11 months up 12.4pc to 6.4 million tons

VLADIVOSTOK Commercial Port handled 307,851 TEU overall, 96,450 TEU of coastal cargo, 98,145 TEU of import cargo, and 113,206 TEU of export cargo in the first 11 months, reports the Vladivokstok Times.

Port CEO Andrei Malko said turnover for the first 11 months reached 107.6 per cent of this year's projections with overall volume surpassing last year's 11-month performance by 12.4 per cent.

Processed container cargo totalled 29,933 TEU including 9,335 TEU of coastal cargo, 10,224 of import cargo and 10,374 TEU of export cargo.

Overall, it handled 3.6 million tons of export cargo, 1.39 million tons of import cargo and 1.4 million tons of coastal cargo.

In November 2010 Vladivostok processed 463,000 tons of cargo, made up of 170,700 thousand tons of export cargo, 158,600 tons of import cargo and 133,400 tons of coastal cargo.
