China box throughput on track to grow 10% in 2010

Shanghai: Major Chinese ports recorded a container throughput of 108m teu in the first three quarters of 2010, according to a report by ResearchInChina. It forecasts that the full-year figure will reach 134m teu, up 9.8% on 2009.


Coastal ports achieved a throughput of 96.89m teu in the first three quarters of this year, with Shanghai ranking first with 21.6m teu, followed by Shenzhen and Qingdao.
