SOUTHWESTERN China's Port of Qinzhou experienced an upswing of 123.6 per cent in its container throughput to 176,000 TEU in the period from January to October, Xinhua reported.
The port's overall cargo throughput also grew by a substantial 49.9 per cent to 24.2 million tonnes, keeping the Qinzhou among the top ports in national rankings.
The port now mainly offers domestic trade services. With launch of a Vietnam route by China Shipping Container Lines in August, the port says it is ready for more international lanes.
