SINGAPORE-JIANGSU Co-operation Council (SJCC) has been renewed for another three years, with 15 collaborative projects being signed at their fourth meeting in Nantong.
The meeting was co-chaired by Singapore Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan and Jiangsu Communist Party Secretary Liang Baohua together with deputy co-chairmen, Singapore junior trade minister Lee Yi Shyan and Jiangsu vice governor Zhang Weiguo.
Said Mr Khaw: "For the past 10 years, Jiangsu has been Singapore's top investment province in China. The growth momentum remains strong, going forward. For Singapore companies, the opportunities abound."
An MOU was signed by Singapore's Minister Khaw and Jiangsu Party Secretary Liang to extend the SJCC for another three years.
An MOU was also signed between IE Singapore and Suzhou Industrial Park Administrative Committee (SIPAC) to explore how Singapore-based companies can take part in the Park's restructuring and in the tourism development project in Yangcheng Lake peninsula, a famous area of origin for the Chinese mitten crabs in Jiangsu province.
