Shangdong port growth outperforms China in first 9 months

THE three major ports of Qingdao, Rizhao and Yantai in eastern Shandong province have all recorded growth in throughput from January to September, Xinhua reports.

Port of Qingdao's cargo tonnage totalled to 259 million tonnes, up 9.7 per cent. The Port of Rizhao's throughput increased 23 per cent to 170 million tonnes and the Port of Yantai's throughput came to 113 million tonnes, up 18 per cent, four per cent more growth than the average rate of the sea ports in China.
