Hamburg Port joins Shenzhen logistics-transport expo

PORT businesses based in Hamburg and the surrounding region will be promoting their services at the China International Logistics and Transportation Fair 2010 to be held in Shenzhen this week from October 15 to 17.

At the 112-square metre joint exhibition stand organised by Port of Hamburg Marketing, Chinese shippers involved in importing and exporting will be provided with information about products and services offered by the participating companies.

The exhibitors at the joint Port of Hamburg exhibition stand are Brunsbuettel Ports GmbH, Buss Group GmbH & Co KG, Eurogate GmbH & Co KGaA KG, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), Straightway Finland Ry and TCO Transcargo GmbH.

This will be the fourth time the Port of Hamburg has participated in the International Logistics and Transportation Fair in Shenzhen, one of the biggest transport shows in China. This year, more than 75,000 visitors are expected to attend.

In the lead-up to the trade fair, the Port of Hamburg, together with a delegation from Finnish ports, will host a seminar in Hong Kong on the subject of "Supply Chain Collaboration for Riding Asia-Europe Trade Growth Trend." Participants include selected representatives from Chinese businesses in the port and logistics sector, a statement from Hamburg port authorities said.
