Vladivostok box volume up 50pc from January to September

RUSSIA's Vladivostok Container Terminal LLC (VCT) saw its container throughput from January-September soar 50 per cent to 212,420 TEU year on year.

In September, cargo throughput came to 25,609 TEU, a decrease of 4.5-per cent from the previous month, but a 33.5 per cent increase year on year, said the Russian Transport Daily Report.

The port handled 1,934 vessels in September, the same number as in August. The average turnaround of each vessel came to 753 TEU.
