HK up 9.8pc in August to 2.1 million TEU, Singapore rises 6.6pc

FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 2.1 million TEU in August, an increase of 9.8 per cent over the 1.9 million in August of last year.

Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority reported an 6.6 per cent increase in container movement in August, having handled 2.4 million TEU compared to 2.3 million TEU in August of last year.
