Felixstowe picks up new cranes

Sep 7, 2010 Port

The Port of Felixstowe takes delivery of two of seven ship-to-shore cranes for its development of berths eight and nine that are scheduled to start operations in 2011.

The first phase of the development will add a further 730m of deep-water quay at the UK's busiest container port. The new cranes are the largest of their type, and are designed to handle ships with containers stowed up to 24 wide.
