Rizhao Port volume up 24.4pc in first seven months

THE cargo throughput of Rizhao Port in Shandong grew 24.4 per cent to 131 million tonnes in the first seven months of 2010.

Targeted at handling more than 200 million tonnes of cargo this year, the port is upgrading to become a transport hub for iron ore in eastern China.
