WUHAN, the capital city of Hubei and largest city in central China, recorded a 27 per cent increase in the port throughput to 31.84 million tonnes in the first half of 2010, in which the container throughput was 303,400 TEU, up 19.1 per cent.
The city delivered 196 million tonnes of cargo, up 17.6 per cent in the first half. The cargo volume of river freight was 46.3 million tonnes, grew 24.4 per cent year on year. Its air freight volume was 45,000 tonnes, up 29.2 per cent year on year.
