Port of Qinzhou half-year box volume up 139pc

PORT of Qinzhou, in southwestern China's Guangxi Autonomous Region, lifted 109,414 TEU during the first half of this year, a sharp increase of 138.9 per cent over the same period in the preceding year, Xinhua reported.


Containerised first half foreign trade cargo handled by the port surged 285 per cent year on year.


The port's half-year throughput tonnage totalled 14.2 million tonnes, up 56 per cent year on year, accounting for 50.5 per cent of the port's annual target.
