Hamburg Sud to raise US west coast, Canada to Europe rates

HAMBURG SUD has announced a general rate increase for US west coast and Canadian cargo shipments to Europe from September 1.

The general rate increase (GRI) will be applied to all cargo moving between these ports. The tariff cargo as well as existing service contracts will be increased by the following amounts: US$150 per TEU and $300 per FEU, a statement from the carrier said.
